Strengthening of the Ukrainian space programme

The Ukrainian State Space Agency receives support in this cooperation project, financed by the European Commission and managed by the FIIAPP, to adopt the European Union's Global Monitoring for Environment and Security and the Galileo satellite navigation system, which will serve to warn of natural disasters such as tsunamis and earthquakes, as well as fires and transportation accidents.

With a duration of 21 months, it will also help in the drafting of laws for regulating satellite navigation, Earth remote observation, and implementation of aerospace projects with public-private financing (currently prohibited). It will also provide extensive training to the staff of the Ukrainian Space Agency.
