Strengthening of the legal aid service in Turkey

Turkey

For the next 24 months, experts from the Spanish Ministry of Justice, with the collaboration of French and Lithuanian experts, will be working alongside their Turkish counterparts with the primary objective of giving society access to fair and complete justice.

Reform of the judiciary is one of the most delicate political criteria Turkey must comply with to become a member of the European Union. The general objective of this reform is to guarantee fair and equitable access to justice for all citizens and legal persons.

In this European Commission-funded project, the aim is to improve efficiency in the administration of justice, as this is a crucial step in strengthening the rule of law in Turkey.
