Forensics, training in advanced methods

Turkey

This twinning project will be carried out for 21 months (Twinning) with EU financing, and it will be managed by FIIAPP with the work of specialists from the National Toxicology Institute, the Civil Guard, and the National Police.

The Gendarmerie Forensic Department, the Turkish National Police Forensic Department and the Forensic Medicine Council have been established in Turkey as official forensic institutions. Through this project, the three institutions wish to carry out training activities to achieve improvements in the field of forensic sciences, increase the number of accredited examination methods, and better meet the requirements of the courts in terms of quality and quantity.

These training activities will contribute to increasing the scientific staff and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between experts and organisations.
