EU4YOUTH: Supporting vulnerable youth in Tunisia

Tunisia

The inclusion and participation of vulnerable Tunisian youth in public life can be strengthened through creativity, culture and sport.

Therefore, the European Union funds the EU4YOUTH program to support the participation and inclusion of young Tunisians in public life through access to culture and sport at the local level.

Within the framework of the EU4Youth initiative for Tunisia (adopted in 2018), the European Union aims to strengthen the social and economic inclusion of young people in Tunisia's territorial collectivities.

The specific objectives of the program are:

  • Strengthen local governance with a more participatory, transparent, efficient and inclusive action to facilitate the inclusion of young people in vulnerable situations and their participation in social and economic development through culture and sport.
  • Strengthen the capacities of Tunisian civil society involved in culture and sport for the inclusion of young people in vulnerable situations.
  • To increase the professional integration and employability of young people in vulnerable situations, and to foster entrepreneurial creativity in the fields of culture and sport.
