Customs administration in Turkey

The objective of this project funded by the European Commission is to modernise customs legislation and practices in Turkey in accordance with European Union regulations. 

Experts from Spain's tax administration, the AEAT, will work with their Turkish counterparts with the objective of amending legislation related to the recovery of customs debt and repayment/remission of customs duties. In addition, Turkish experts will be trained on matters such as recovery of customs debt and the preparation of handbooks and leaflets for correct and efficient application of the European Union Customs Code in the country.
