It was held at the Brazilian Association in the United Kingdom (ABRAS)
Last Saturday in London the Workshop on Remittances, Financial Education and Micro-entrepreneurship, aimed at Brazilian migrants was held. This workshop is part of a pilot project being executed in Brazil thanks to the participation of the Government of the State of Goiás, the Organization of Volunteers of Goiás, the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, ABRAS, with coordination by the FIIAPP.
The Brazilian Consul General, María De Lujan Caputo Winkler, opened the workshop, which combined theoretical and practical sessions on financial planning, innovation in entrepreneurship, the link between remittances and development policies, and the importance of carrying out projects in partnerships between the public-private sector and the diaspora.
This pilot project is part of the initiative to support Policy Dialogue on Migration between the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which is being financed by the EU and implemented by the IOM in close coordination with its partner, the FIIAPP.
