The event for the presentation of results and impacts of the Programme will be held on 21 June at the headquarters of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels under the title “URB-AL III: innovating decentralised cooperation models” (download preliminary programme).
It is expected that representatives fromURB-AL III projects, the European Commission and the partners of the OCO consortium (Barcelona City Council, FIIAPP, the Tuscan Region, OICS, Province of Santa Fe, Mayor’s Office of Bogotá and the Municipality of San José) will take part in the event.
The meeting will seek to demonstrate the importance and the added value of the third phase of URB-AL, which has adopted a model of European-Latin American partnerships with a common theme: the promotion of local public policies which contribute to increasing social cohesion. Within this third phase alone, more than 130 local public policies have been launched, with 1.8 million beneficiaries and an impact on over 500 municipalities in Latin America.
This event, envisaged as one of the activities marking the end of the Programme, will present the systemisation of results and impacts of the 20 cooperation projects which make up URB-AL III, in order to offer a global overview looking towards the future (Download consolidated publication of results).
In addition to presentations and speeches, the forum will also have two debate sessions: “From a specific action to integrated interventions: lessons drawn from the projects” and “Contribution to the new strategies and paradigms of decentralised cooperation”.
It is also envisaged that the members of the OCO consortium will hold their last Steering Committee meeting on 20 June in Brussels in order to reflect on the results achieved.
