The EU4DigitalUA project has organised a seminar on tools for the digitisation of cadastral cartography
Cadastral mapping accurately identifies real estate in purchases, inheritances, gifts … This means that people who make real estate contracts have a place to access this information. The digitisation of the cadastral registry is essential to guaranteeing its accessibility and legal security for citizens. The EU4DigitalUA project, financed by the European Union and led by FIIAPP, has, in collaboration with the General Directorate of the Spanish Cadastral Registry, organised training based on European experiences on the subject of tools to digitise the cadastral registry.
The European Inspire Directiveestablishes general rules on creating a spatial information infrastructure to harmonise cadastral registries in the European Union. During the seminar delivered to the Ukrainian authorities and project partners, the operation of the WSN Inspire platform based on this directive was explained.
This platform is a system for digitising the cadastral registry. It is programmed to provide a continuous map of the rural and urban cadastral cartography of a given territory, generating a 3D reconstruction of the environment. In addition to facilitating access to private users, companies and public bodies to the available cadastral information, its use and implementation in Ukraine , will promote Ukraine’s digital integration into the European Digital Single Market.
The activity was an opportunity to share experiences enabling the alignment of data protection principles and legislation. EU4DigitalUA is supporting the Ukrainian authorities in the development of a model for digital access to cadastral information. The general objective of the project is to improve the efficiency and security of public services and facilitate access to citizens and companies through digital communication, to achieve a fully digitised administration in Ukraine.
