After the first two years of execution of the project to support local development in Angola, a meeting was held in Luanda to take stock of the objectives achieved in 2016 and present the activities planned for 2017.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Bornito de Sousa, and attended by the Governor of the province of Luanda, the European Union Delegation Ambassador to Angola, representatives of FIIAPP, members of the UN diplomatic corps, as well as by members of the Angolan Social Support Fund.
The three-year project to support local development in Angola is funded by the European Union with a budget of €30 million and managed by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) with the collaboration of the Social Support Fund (FAS).
The project is focussed on institutional strengthening of municipal administrations and financing of basic social structures that will contribute to local development and reduce gaps between Angola’s different regions and municipalities.
