The Tax Agency of Montenegro learns about the Spanish tax model

In a series of sessions held in Madrid, Montenegrin specialists learned about the processing of ministerial orders in relation to taxpayer assistance; the Spanish Tax Agency web portal; exchange of information and fraud schemes; and specific aspects of IT such as operational security procedures, criteria for accessing networks and systems for analysing information and selecting taxpayers.

During the meetings in Valladolid, where they were welcomed by the special delegate of Economy and Finance of Valladolid, María Teresa Villaizan, they saw the operation of information services and taxpayer attention in situ, obtaining a practical overview of the services provided.

In this regard, and thanks with these institutions’ knowledge, a wide range of interesting topics were covered to explain the different activities included in the “Support to the Tax Administration of Montenegro “ twinning project financed by the European Union and managed by the FIIAPP, from a theoretical and practical pperspective.

The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance, Biljana Peranovic, and directors and experts from several areas and departments of the tax administration attended on behalf of the Montenegrin Tax Agency.

The Spanish Tax Agency took part, as did the Special Delegation of Economy and Finance of Valladolid, the Planning and Institutional Relations Service and the departments of Tax Management, Financial and Tax Inspection and Tax Computing.
