The Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan hosted the closing ceremony for the Spanish-Azerbaijani international cooperation project Support to the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan Republic in the field of human resources development.
Over the course of the project, with a duration of over two years, Spanish experts from the Institute for Fiscal Studies and French experts worked with their counterparts on the improvement and adaptation to European regulations of the tax administration of Azerbaijan, with a focus on developing the capacities of its staff. To this end, a series of training sessions aimed at civil servants at the administration were held. In them, international and European practices in the area of taxes and their application within the legislation of Azerbaijan were presented.
The project had a total budget of €1 million funded by the European Union and managed by FIIAPP in collaboration with the French cooperation agency the General Directorate of Public Finances (DGFiP).
The closing ceremony included the presence of the project leaders, as well as the director of the FIIAPP Economic Development and Environment area, Sonsoles Moríes, and DGFiP General Secretary Noel Claudon.
