These awards recognise best practices in the commitment to sustainability and innovation thus promoting the Sustainable Development Goals
The Cuba-European Union II Expert Exchange cooperation programme managed by FIIAPP was nominated at the fifth edition of the Global Entreps Awards. These awards are presented to public figures, outstanding initiatives, successful policies, institutions, start-ups, etc. There are 30 different awards for 126 countries, 17 of which are fully dedicated to the 2030 Agenda’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. To receive the award, actions on new technologies for sustainability, responsible business commitment and good governance will also be valued, among other matters.
At these awards, the projects that win will be selected by a jury comprised by agencies of the United Nations, the European Union and other international organisations, as well as by civil society and various companies.
After being short-listed from among 5,000 initiatives worldwide, the programme that finances the Cuba-European Union II Expert Exchange was chosen as one of the 300 best examples in the world regarding practices in sustainability and innovation and it is a candidate to receive one of the 30 final awards.
The programme accompanies Cuba in the implementation of its socio-economic policy guidelines, through the exchange of experiences, knowledge and good practices among public administrations, generating alliances on an international scale and supporting key public policies and initiatives for the improvement of services to citizens.
