La FIIAPP ha renovado la acreditación que permite gestionar fondos europeos para implementar proyectos de cooperación delegada
The foundation has just successfully passed a thorough re-evaluation (it already did so in 2011) of its procedures and management systems in accordance with the criteria established by the EU in its Pillar Assessment. This European Commission accreditation will allow it to continue managing delegated cooperation projects and to strengthen the European cooperation system.
Indirect management of the European Union budget entails delegating and entrusting the management and execution of programmes and projects to accredited entities. It is a part of Team Europe and the joint work between the European Commission and the Member States in the foreign action and development cooperation of the Union built on shared competences.
During the last five years, the FIIAPP has substantially increased the implementation of this type of project, making it possible to harness the know-how of public administrations, directing their knowledge towards sustainable and inclusive development.
Delegated Cooperation Projects
The introduction of delegated cooperation by the European Commission was closely linked to the international development effectiveness agenda, introducing this modality of joint work in a division of labour strategy linked to the first European Consensus on Development in 2007.

One of the main characteristics of these three regional programmes is their great capacity to generate spaces for dialogue and enable coordination between actors, with more coherent results and a greater impact on the improvement of public policies, which it supports through the exchange of knowledge and experiences between European and Latin American institutions .
