The city of Bogota (Colombia) hosted a workshop for strategic reflection and internal organization related to the ACTUE Colombia (European Union Anti-corruption and Transparency for Colombia) project. This initiative is being financed by the EU and executed by the FIIAPP within the framework of the actions planned for strengthening the Secretariat of Transparency of the Presidency of the Republic.
This workshop was planned with a creative methodology and a participative approach that facilitated exchange and group reflection among the participants and working groups that make up the current team of the Secretariat. This institution coordinates the interaction of government agencies with respect to the prevention of and the fight against corruption, implementation of the Comprehensive Public Anti-Corruption Policy and implementation of the Law on Transparency.
The objectives of this workshop were to identify the foundations that will make it possible to define both a clear proposal and public value for the institution; establish the results and benefits that the agency would generate for its main “customers” and the public at large; recognize the priority working areas with the available resources; improve the definition of competencies and the distribution of functions; strengthen the design of the structure and internal organization of the work of the institution; and promote monitoring and assessment actions. The entire team of the Secretariat of Transparency attended this forum.
The ACTUE Colombia project is one of the actions currently being managed by the FIIAPP under the delegated cooperation model. It has a total budget of 7,475,000 euros and an approximate duration of 54 months. Its objective is to help the Colombian government increase its capacity to prevent and more effectively combat corruption.
