The Latin American Centre for Development Administration (CLAD) and the FIIAPP work together on several projects managed by the Foundation
The Secretary General of the CLAD, Francisco Velázquez, visited the FIIAPP headquarters, where he held an institutional meeting with the Foundation’s Director, Anna Terrón.
The FIIAPP and the CLAD share the mission of promoting the exchange of experiences with the objective of modernizing the public administrations of the countries with which they work, so both institutions work together to carry out this work.
EUROsociAL+ is one of the projects managed by the Foundation with the participation of the CLAD through the National School of Public Administration of Brazil, where several activities with a gender perspective are being shaped in sectoral policies of Latin American countries belonging to the CLAD.
In addition, the CLAD is closely following the cooperation programme for local development in Angola , an observer country of the Centre, which the Foundation is developing together with the Angolan Social Support Fund (FAS). There, the training of cadres of public officials represented a relevant milestone at the start of the programme. For this reason, in the next CLAD Annual Congress, which will take place in November 2018 in Mexico, the FIIAPP will be part of one of the panel presentations where the Angolan case will be reviewed as an example of the benefits of training and improvement of the human resource in the public sector.
Terrón and Velázquez have agreed on a meeting agenda with the aim of designing new projects in which they can work together. Projects that are aimed at improving the professionalisation of public services in the Latin American region, always with the aim of achieving progress in the public administrations of the member countries.
