They also participated in the 11th International Congress on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Renewable Energy within the exchange programme of EU-Cuba II experts
The EU-Cuba II Expert Exchange Programme , in support of the economic modernisation of Cuba, has organised a workshop-seminar on energy efficiency in Havana (Cuba) together with the Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning of Cuba (IRC).
In this seminar, six Spanish experts addressed issues such as energy saving in different facilities, the application of geothermal energy in HVAC facilities and maintenance and its contribution to energy efficiency.
This exchange of experiences programme funded by the European Union and managed by the FIIAPP, accompanies the Cuban government in the development of its socio-economic policy, through an exchange of knowledge and good practices in the management of administration and public policies.
The experts, from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and different companies from the island and from Barcelona, also offered keynote addresses at the 11th International Congress on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Renewable Energy (RECLIEN 2018), also organised in collaboration with the Programme. An event in which 67 scientific contributions from different Institutes and Centres of Cuba and 6 universities of the country came forward.
This congress takes place within the 3rd Convention and International Exhibition CUBAINDUSTRIA 2018, its aim being to discuss the strategic development projections of Cuban industry and the way it is to be incorporated in the country’s different Strategic Development Programmes in the coming years. In the opening session, there was, among others, a contribution by the Minister of Industry of Cuba.
