Closing seminar of the third phase of the project to support the European Union-Brazil Sector Dialogues.
The seminar on agro-environmental indicators and public policy management held in Brazil closes the activities of the phase three of the eighth summit of the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues project. A project designed to foster an exchange of experiences between Brazilian and European experts with the aim of contributing to the country’s development at a political level in sectors such as sustainable development, climate change, science and technology, human rights, anti-drug policies, and urban mobility. A project that has been managed by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) since 2007 and funded by the European Commission.
The event was attended by 50 professionals from the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development; the Ministry of Planning; representatives of the European Union Delegation to Brazil and officials from other institutions and agencies related to agricultural financing, the environment, water, agricultural statistics, etc.
The opening ceremony was led by Carlos Mario Guedes, Secretary-General of Sustainable Rural Development, and representatives of other ministries directly involved in this action.
The European Union and Brazil have maintained this bilateral cooperation relationship since 2007 within the framework of the ‘Sector Dialogues‘ project aimed at improving public policies in the Latin American country by working on administrative themes such as human rights.
