EUROsociAL+ has supported the Peruvian Decentralisation Secretariat in implementing Regional Development Agencies in that Andean country
As part of the programme EUROsociAL+, funded by the European Union and managed by FIIAPP, a series of visits was implemented to pass on international experiences. It started out in Spain with a visit to Andalusia and the Basque Country in which representatives of the Peruvian Decentralisation Secretariat and the region of La Libertad took part.
The exchange visit to Andalusia was coordinated with the IDEA Agency, which contributes to the economic and social development of this region. In Seville a meeting was held with the European Commission Joint Research Centre with the aim of publicising the Smart Specialisation Strategy as an inspirational driver of regional innovation. In addition, in Malaga it promoted the transfer of the experience of creating and managing the Andalusia Technological Park (Spanish initials, PTA), a space dedicated to the development of innovative SMEs.
Also, in the Basque Country, the place for the exchange of views was the Basque Agency for Entrepreneurial Development, where Basque companies can find the tools needed to internationalise, find financing or innovate through the application of new technologies.
The Peruvian tour of Spain ended in Madrid with the meetings at the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function and the National Institute of Public Administration (Spanish initials, INAP).
