The FIIAPP organized the workshop entitled “Migration and Employment, and Capitalizing on Skills” from 1st to 3rd October in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The workshop was organized in response to the interest expressed by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in participating in the Pilot Projects on Migration and Employment.The activity was held from 1st to 3rd October in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The workshop was aimed at the institutions responsible for formulating and managing the country’s migration, employment and education policies. The main objective was to debate how to incorporate employment policies into migration policies and how to optimize knowledge and skills as tools for employment in the context of migration.
The activity included presentations, with a theoretical component, and activities and practical group exercises, in which the participants were able to analyze these questions.
The workshop is part of the “Strengthening dialogue and cooperation between the EU and LAC to establish management models on migration and development policies”project, which is being financed by the EU and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in close coordination with its partner, the FIIAPP.
