ACTUE-Colombia participates in the meeting organised by the Open Government Partnership (OGP).
The anti-corruption and transparency project in Colombia, ACTUE-Colombia, participated in the meeting on accountability organised in Bogotá by the Open Government Partnership (OGP).
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a voluntary multilateral initiative in which 69 countries participate to improve governmental transparency and access to public information and to foster citizen participation in public policies. Colombia joined OGP in 2011 and is currently participating in the implementation of the Second OGP Action Plan (2015-2017).
This meeting served to put forward information regarding the commitments acquired during the Second OGP Action Plan, present the Independent Assessment Instrument and share the lessons learnt from previous plans, which will be used for the implementation of the Third OGP Action Plan (2017-2019). It was attended by members of public agencies and civil society organisations.
FIIAPP, through the ACTUE Colombia project, has been supporting the implementation of the OGP Colombia initiative since late 2014 in two ways: first by providing technical support to the Secretariat of Transparency in the formulation and monitoring of the execution of the Second OGP Action Plan, and second by strengthening the capacities of civil society organisations.
This support aims to contribute to the launch of the Comprehensive Anti-corruption Public Policy promoted by the Colombian state, the objective of which is a state commitment to transparency and accountability, as well as strengthening of the capacities of civil society organisations in their role as citizen representatives.
