Meeting between the Mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the FIIAPP

Juan José Cardona presented the International City Plan (ICP), which consists of the positioning of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a European capital in Africa, to the Director of the FIIAPP, Javier Quintana.

To this end, the leader of the capital city requested collaboration from the FIIAPP to increase the international projection of the Gran Canaria capital and showed an interest in the participation of these institutions and organisations in the creation of a cooperation network on different levels such as training, economic and business relations, local democratic governance, migration, public service management with major West African cities in order to become a capital city of reference for European Union and African relations in the medium and long-term.
