Event for the launch of 'Medicamentos a un Clic'
The ACTUE transparency and anti-corruption project implemented by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies has presented the latest initiative, ‘Medicamentos a un Clic’ [Medicines at a Click], developed within the framework of the project.
‘Medicamentos a un Clic’ is an online tool that gives users access to reliable, quality information about the prescription and proper use of medicines.
The website, www.medicamentosaunclic.gov.co, is intended to serve as a reference tool for both healthcare professionals, whom it helps to write safer and more appropriate prescriptions, and for the general population, which it will help to be better informed about administration forms, side effects, medication incompatibilities, and considerations for pregnant or nursing women and the elderly, among other aspects.
To do this, it provides two ways of accessing the information: one access point for healthcare professionals, with more technical and specialised information, and another for the general public, with more comprehensible language.
ACTUE-COLOMBIA is a project funded by the European Commission with a budget of €7,475,000, which is being implemented by FIIAPP over four years to support the Colombian government in establishing transparency and anti-corruption policies.
