Lebanese security forces improve their communication content creation skills through knowledge and know-how
In today’s age of technology, having a social media presence is crucial for both individuals and organisations to succeed in a highly competitive market. In the case of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) in Lebanon, having an in-depth knowledge of social media platforms allows them to engage with the community in a meaningful way. Through these platforms they can reach out to the community, share positive stories and address concerns.
Through the European Community Policing in Lebanon project, a professional associate degree in communication and social media has been organised in collaboration with the Lebanese American University for ISF personnel, which will enable them to build a positive public image and foster a sense of partnership between law enforcement and the public.
This course is designed for individuals and organisations in the law enforcement, emergency services and security sectors, providing a tailored approach to harnessing social media as a powerful tool for building meaningful connections and improving community resilience. It provides practical insights and strategies essential to achieving these goals.
Through a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, participants will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to leverage different channels as a tool for community engagement, while adopting a positive approach to community policing.
The aim of this diploma course is that also through social media, the ISF will be able to raise awareness of their work and build public trust in the country’s security forces.
