MCBS organises the second meeting with Interpol and a course on case management to strengthen police information and investigation skills
Through the cooperation project to fight organised crime in the Caribbean, MCBS-EU , which is financed by the European Union and managed by the FIIAPP, the second INTERPOL-MCBS regional meeting was held in Kingston, Jamaica, together with an International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) case management training course. During the meeting, Interpol and organised crime-fighting units were also identified in the three participating countries: Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Haiti.
The main objective of the training is to give real substance to the components of the exchange of police information at the international level and to improve the investigative skills of Interpol technicians in the three countries, in a uniform manner, through the organisation’s standard case management system.
The meeting also allowed the exchange of experiences to identify common elements of the programme partners, in matters related to organised crime in the region, the improvement of the exchange of information and the methods of joint action. Additionally, an agenda was established for the next working actions and implementation of joint operations.
