The European ARAP Ghana project provides computer equipment to various Ghanaian institutions so their work can become more productive

The ARAP programme, which has European funding and is implemented by the FIIAPP public foundation, has provided computer and multimedia material to its Ghanaian partners with the aim of strengthening the work of the institutions with which it works and making their activities more sustainable.
In order to guarantee the effective rule of law, responsible institutions and healthy relations between state and society, the European programme “Ghana Accountability, Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (ARAP) is partnered by the Office of the Attorney General (AGO), the Ghana Police Service (GPS), the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
It also counts on the support of ARAP, the Attorney General of the Ghanaian Republic, which will develop the Platform of the Attorney General whose main function will be to administer and manage all the civil case files that are received. For this, 22 computers, 10 printers, 15 routers and 22 base stations have been delivered.
In addition, the development of this digital registration system will enable the management of all criminal case files that the Public Prosecutor’s Office receives from other agencies, such as the Ghana Police Service or the Economic and Organised Crime Office.
For its part, the Ghana Police Service has received 20 computers, 20 base stations, 13 printers, and two routers, which will support the digital incorporation of work processes, books, records and forms used by police personnel in the performance of their duties. This digitalisation ensures the immediate availability of relevant reports and thus enables proper stakeholder monitoring. It will be used by the police legal unit to support the digital implementation of the evidence declassification process.
And finally, to improve the reporting system, specifically noise pollution, the Economic and Organised Crime Office has received two computers, two base stations, a printer and three smartphones with the aim of strengthening its communication unit.
