El proyecto AMERIPOL-UE ha organizado, con liderazgo de la FIIAPP, un diplomado de inteligencia estratégica y prospectiva con la Policía Nacional de Colombia que tendrá como resultado la edición y publicación de un documento estratégico.The AMERIPOL-EU project, led by the FIIAPP, organised a technical course in strategic intelligence and forecasting with the Colombia National Police, resulting in the editing and publication of a strategic document.
During the last week of July and the first week of August, FIIAPP, SOCA, ADETEF, the Portuguese Judicial Policeand the Italian Guarda di Finanza organised a short technical course, as part of the AMERIPOL-EU project, designed for professionals who wish to update or enhance their knowledge of a specific issue, focused on the fight against drugs in Bogotá, Colombia.
This activity was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Colombia National Police and the General Secretary of AMERIPOL, who offered their experience and facilities at their headquarters.
Five Latin American countries participated in the course: Bolivia, Colombia, Panama, and Peru, and, notably, Venezuela. The main outcome was the training of 18 participants in the following areas:
– Strategic forecasting
– Strategic thinking
– Anti-drug policies
– Research methodology applied to the fight against drugs
– Analysis of drug trafficking – strategic vision
– Social and safety problems associated with drug trafficking
– Visiting the Colombia National Police laboratories and experimental crops
A strategic meeting was held with the participation of some of the project’s major experts to present the project’s results and to plan future activities.
