This morning, the FIIAPP/Spanish Cooperation and CIVIPOL, the international technical cooperation operator of the French Ministry of the Interior, signed an agreement that will strengthen cooperation ties in the fields of security, peace and development
The Director of the FIIAPP, Anna Terrón, and the Director of CIVIPOL, Yann Jounot, signed an agreement this morning at the FIIAPP headquarters in Madrid whereby both organisations undertake to strengthen their institutional alliance in line with the shared priorities of the respective Ministries of the Interior.
Through this agreement, which will have an initial duration of three years, both entities will promote the joint implementation of projects. With this commitment, both the FIIAPP and CIVIPOL seek to develop a partnership that will consolidate their relationship in favour of cooperation in the field of security and development in their respective areas of competence and within the framework of their national strategy.
France is one of Spain’s main partners in international cooperation, based on the good relations between the public administrations of both countries. The collaboration between FIIAPP and CIVIPOL as public technical cooperation operators has been developing for several years now and both entities are currently working as partners in international cooperation projects such as ECI Niger phase III, NET-COP phase II, CT JUST: Criminal justice responses to terrorism, Support to community policing in Lebanon, Prometheus II: fight against trafficking and irregular migration networks, and Cooperation in the Western Balkans with the Radicalisation Awareness Network.
