The Cuba-EU II Expert Exchange Programme organises a cycle of activities on foreign trade aimed at implementing a digital business intelligence system
The Cuba-EU II Expert Exchange Programme continues working to accompany Cuba in the implementation of the socio-economic policy guidelines, the current programming focuses technical activities on helping to design and implement a digital business intelligence system. It is a delegated cooperation programme, financed by the European Union and managed by FIIAPP.
The technological-trade surveillance system will be implemented in the Centre for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (ProCuba), an entity subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba. This will promote the provision of services to the business sector, as well as its competitiveness and export capacity.
The defined activities will be aimed at identifying methodologies and tools to consolidate an international commercial intelligence system and training will be carried out for personnel from government institutions and businessmen in order to improve the strategy and competitiveness of Cuban foreign trade.
The cycle of activities was inaugurated, in a telematic meeting, by Alfredo García, director of the programme who highlighted the interest that this activity has aroused in various institutions and priority areas of Cuban international trade. Representatives from ProCuba, the Chamber of Commerce and the Self-Improvement Centre, as well as the consultants in charge of technical advice, participated in the event.
