Within the framework of the EUROCLIMA+ programme, FIIAPP has promoted the 20th exchange session of the Community of Practice on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Policies
The EUROCLIMA+ European cooperation programme has held the 20th virtual exchange session of the Community of Practice on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Policies. The event was promoted by FIIAPP with the support of the LEDS LAC Platform within the framework of EUROCLIMA+.
The “Closure 2020” session focused on opening a dialogue regarding the community’s work in 2020 and its expectations for 2021. In addition to the review of the achievements and the work carried out last year, the event also served as a forum for the exchange of comments and recommendations.
The session also addressed the impact of the pandemic that has forced the replacement of many of the face-to-face activities with online meetings, adding to other challenges such as the environmental and social disasters that are linked to climate change. In 2020, seven virtual knowledge exchange sessions were held, covering prioritised topics ranging from normative-institutional governance to the technical-methodological aspects of climate action reporting in mitigation and adaptation actions.
