The FIIAPP coordinates the first employment counselling workshop for returning emigrants in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The activity was held on 16th and 17th September with the aim of providing guidance to returning Uruguayans. To do this, specific training on the Uruguayan job market was presented, in addition to information about social and employment regulations approved in the last ten years.
The ultimate goal is to improve the job placement possibilities of this group in Uruguay.The workshop was coordinated jointly by the FIIAPP, the Uruguayan Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) and the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP).
This workshop was organized within the framework of the Pilot Project on Migration and Employment as part of the initiative to support Policy Dialogue on Migration between the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which is being financed by the EU and implemented by the FIIAPP in close coordination with the IOM.
