Spanish police support the Peruvian police through a cooperation project that has facilitated the creation of this library
The European cooperation project has provided the training school with a virtual library to support the learning, teaching and research missions of the Peruvian national police. The new tool facilitates access to and dissemination of information resources and enables collaboration in knowledge creation processes. This action is part of one of the project’s lines of action, which focuses on strengthening the training centres of entities related to criminal investigation (Police, Prosecutor’s Office and Justice).
The library aims to be a modern and accessible space, user-oriented for the transmission of knowledge, where new technologies are available to all. Linked to the outside world and integrated in the quality goals and objectives of the police; with an effective, dynamic and efficient management, capable of creating better trained and informed users through its activity; contributing to lifelong learning and adapted to educational innovation.
Technical assistance has focused on promoting the following points:
Promote campaigns to promote this tool for police personnel, promote ease of use so that it is accessible from different devices and with a variety of materials: the virtual library will offer e-books, audio books, videos, scientific articles, magazines, etc. To this end, twinning arrangements with universities in Peru will also be promoted.
