Civil servants, world champions every year

Today, the FIIAPP launched a promotional video that compares Spanish civil servants with the Spanish national football team players. Civil servantsappear in the video, represented by a doctor, an architect, a policeman, a researcher, a teacher, a pilot, and various administrative employees that form a football team, the World Champions team, and they play a game.

The civil servants prepare themselves, reviewing their techniques with the coach, showing some nerves, and go out onto the playing field. The tension in the video grows, like in any game of football. The professionals play in their fields, in their sectors, and represent the values of effort, perseverance and effectiveness that define the Spanish National Team. In the end, that work is rewarded as they score the winning goal. A goal that will make them the best, which will allow them to win, in the end, the World Cup.

Each year, TheInternational and Ibero-American Foundation of Administration and Public Policymobilises approximately one thousand civil servants in cooperation projects throughout the world.

They are responsible for modernising the public administrations of the countries where they work and, therefore, are the best ambassadors of the Spain Brand.

Spanish civil servants are the best example of Spain as a leader in many sectors – we are not just good at playing football – and our knowledge and experience is valued in foreign countries in important issues such as transplants, justice, security, the environment, agriculture and transport.

Since 1997, the FIIAPP has mobilised 15,000 civil servants throughout the entire world.

In addition, the FIIAPP is preparing the First Meeting of Experts for November 26, 2013, which will bring together an important group of Spanish civil servants who have worked in foreign administrations. They will all debate and analyze the role of the Public Administration in Brand Spain.
