The tax administrations in Cuba and Spain exchange knowledge on human resources
Within the framework of the 2nd Cuba-EU Expert Exchange Programme, which is financed by the European Union and managed by FIIAPP, specialists from the Cuban National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) have participated in an online training course, given by members of the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) on the best practices in human resource management.
Cuba is immersed in a complex process of modernisation, as well as in the internal reorganisation of its institutions. Hence the need and importance of updating ONAT officials in human resources management.
With this exchange, the ONAT and the AEAT have been able to address aspects of human resource management in the broadest sense, delving into aspects as important as the selection of profiles for the positions in an institution, communication processes, worker satisfaction, occupational health and safety, training of personnel, the work environment, effectiveness and efficiency, employment law and performance evaluation methodologies.
This training is the first exchange on human resources executed by the programme and has contributed to its main objective, which is to provide support and advice to Cuba in implementing its socio-economic policy guidelines by mobilising experts from the EU, Cuba and third countries in administration and public policy management.
