The FIIAPP, the CEDDET Foundation and the High Level Commission for Anti-Corruption in Peru have organised a public-private collaboration workshop on transparency.
The Anti-Corruption Commission, supported by the EUROsociAL Programme (which ismanaged by the FIIAPP), designed the international workshop on “Collaboration between the Public and Private Sectors in the fight against Corruption.” The objective of this workshop is for the Peruvian Executive Branch to promote a dialogue that encourages the proposal of specific activities to prevent and penalise corruption in Peru.
This workshop, organised by the FIIAPP, the CEDDET Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided a forum for sharing experiences on integrity standards in business, best practices for corporate governance, the benefits and advantages of being members of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the progress and challenges facing Peru in its incorporation into the OECD Anti-Bribery Group.
The inauguration of the two-day meeting in Lima was attended by Juan Jiménez Mayor, the President of the Council of Ministers, and Eda Rivas Franchini, the Head of the High Level Commission for Anti-Corruption.
Over the past year, EUROsociAL has been working with the governments of Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and El Salvador in a specific effort to improve social and institutional collaboration in the fight against corruption, within the framework of the Democratic Institutionality Department, coordinated by the FIIAPP and managed by the CEDDET Foundation. Regionally, the Programme supports public-private collaboration within the MESICIC framework and the Transparency and Information Access Network (RTA).
