Angolan specialists visit Spain to learn about its distribution of powers between the state, regional and local administrations
The visit made by a delegation from the Ministry of Territory and State Reform of Angola, MAT, was headed by its Secretary of State, Laurinda Cardoso. This visit is part of the Local Development Project (LDP), financed by the European Union and managed by FIIAPP and the Angolan Social Support Fund (FAS).
During their stay, the delegation visited the FIIAPP headquarters where they could further learn about the institution, including a meeting with its director, Anna Terrón.
On the other hand, Spanish officials from the Spanish Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Administration informed their counterparts about the distribution of competences between the State, autonomous communities and local bodies, and about the application and management of financing systems at the level of the regional and local bodies.
Finally, they visited the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), followed by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and, finally, the Electoral Census Workshop, a body linked to the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE).
As part of the agenda during their visit to Spain, the Angolan delegation visited the city of Mérida, where they held meetings with members of the Extremadura Regional Government, as well as with the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces of Extremadura.
