FIIAPP chairs the Practitioners network working group: "Crisis, Fragility and Migration (CFM)"
The Practitioners’ Network of European Union Member State cooperation agencies has met within the framework of the ‘Crisis, Fragility and Migration (CFM)’ working group, which is being co-led by the FIIAPP.
The FIIAPP, together with the Belgian agency ENABEL, is co-chairing this group which held a virtual session on ‘Inclusive social policies, with special attention to young and women migrants’.
This meeting is one of five sessions held in preparation for a face-to-face workshop, when the COVID19 situation allows it, on “Migration and Development: an Inclusive and Global Approach to Human Mobility”, co-organised by the FIIAPP and the Belgian ENABEL agency. This second session includes a technical discussion of good and innovative practices, including the challenges and lessons learned, that the members of the Practitioners network have implemented in the field of migration and development.
The FIIAPP was active in this field through its Public Administration and Social Affairs (APAS) area, whose director, Peggy Martinello, moderated the session. Furthermore, the European EUROSOCIAL+ and ‘Living Together Without Discrimination’ programmes, two projects managed by FIIAPP, were presented at the virtual meeting.
The sessions are intended to promote interaction between representatives and specialists from the different projects presented, in preparation for the upcoming face-to-face workshop.
