El 4 y el 5 de Septiembre ha tenido lugar en Chisinau – Moldavia- una reunión que ha involucrado a más de 20 cuerpos de seguridad de Georgia, Moldavia, Ucrania, Turquía y Azerbaijan, junto con representantes de EUROPOL, EUBAM, CARICC, GUAM, SOCA, la policía nacional de Francia, la BKA de Alemania y DEA de EEUU.
The meeting, hosted by the Moldovan Ministry of Interior, has been organised by FIIAPP in conjunction with the Georgian Ministry of Interior within the project “Heroin Route II”
The Project is financed by the EC under Phase II of the programme “Fight against organised crime and drug trafficking along the Heroin Routes”. The aim of the project is to promote regional and trans-regional co-operation, helping law enforcement along the route to develop future operational strategies against heroin trafficking.
The participants at the meeting discussed new trends, modus operandi, smuggling routes and investigative methods in the area of drug trafficking. The meeting also underlined the importance of future co-operation in the field of fighting against drug trafficking between law enforcement agencies, and agreed on future activities.
The participants welcomed this meeting as a fruitful occasion to exchange investigation best-practices, and to discuss the trends of narcotic flows through the South Caucasus and Black Sea regions.
