Este acto marca un hito crucial en los esfuerzos de colaboración entre la UE y Ghana para combatir el terrorismo y garantizar la estabilidad regional.
This step is an important milestone in improving Ghana’s security infrastructure and the European Union, through the EU Delegation in Ghana, has donated vital equipment to the Counter Terrorism Fusion Centre (CTFC) and various law enforcement agencies in the five northern regions of Ghana. For the past two years, the EU has funded the NorPrevSec project, implemented by the FIIAPP.
This event marks a crucial milestone in the EU-Ghana partnership to combat terrorism and ensure regional stability.
The EU donation aims to provide essential technological support to the security forces in the northern regions of Ghana. This donation underlines the EU’s commitment to strengthen Ghana’s counter-terrorism capabilities and improve the country’s overall security infrastructure.
Part of the computers will be integrated into the West African Police Information System, which will improve communication and coordination between law enforcement agencies in the five northern regions.
The beneficiary agencies include the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Immigration Service and the Ghana Prisons Service at district level, together with various law enforcement agencies (LEAs) at regional level.
The EU grant represents a strong partnership with Ghana, aimed at strengthening the country’s defence against terrorism and promoting peace and security. This collaborative effort will play a key role in ensuring regional stability and protecting Ghana’s citizens.
