A course on Artificial Intelligence in Ukraine in the framework of the European project Reinforcement to EU4Digital, implemented by the FIIAPP, the first fruit of the collaboration agreement signed today between the two institutions
The director of the FIIAPP, Francisco Tierraseca and José Bayón, director general of the School of Industrial Organisation (EOI) have signed this morning a collaboration agreement that will allow the mobilisation of the School’s human talent in the different projects in more than 120 countries in which the FIIAPP works.
‘The transfer of knowledge through this agreement means support for Ukraine in an area of training in which EOI is a pioneer and benchmark, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), and which offers the potential to transform the way we interact with the world. At the same time, the agreement boosts bilateral relations between the two countries, with EOI putting our training experience at the service of the Ukrainian Public Administration, convinced that it will be of great use to them’, said José Bayón, Director General of EOI.
‘This signature represents an opportunity to enrich both institutions through collaboration, cooperation and training, consolidating a mutual commitment to capacity building that will allow us to face global challenges together with creativity and effectiveness,’ explained FIIAPP Director Francisco Tierraseca.
The course ‘Artificial Intelligence for the Ukrainian Public Administration’ is an initiative that will equip Ukrainian civil servants with the necessary skills to integrate AI into their administrative processes. This course is a key part of improving the efficiency and transparency of the Ukrainian government.
The EU4DigitalUA project, funded by the European Union and implemented by FIIAPP together with Spanish institutions such as the State Secretariats for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence and for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure (both from the Ministry for Digital Transformation and for Public Function), focuses on critical areas such as e-governance policy, civil society communication and participation, data protection, interoperability, government digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. This AI course represents a further step in the mission to strengthen the Ukrainian public administration, preparing it to face the challenges of the future with a solid foundation in technology and best practices.
Alongside this first specific agreement, the FIIAPP and the EOI have signed a framework agreement that will allow the EOI’s portfolio of training content to be used to offer innovative and technologically advanced solutions to the emerging needs of many countries around the world to modernise and strengthen their public administration.
