FIIAPP signs collaboration agreement with the World Compliance Association

Aware of the relevance and enormous added value for organisations of having a solid compliance management system (Compliance), the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Public Policy (FIIAPP) has signed a collaboration agreement with the World Compliance Association (WCA).

The challenges faced by organisations are innumerable. Most of them stem from a highly dynamic environment marked by factors such as the concatenation of unpredictable international events, the ebullience of regulatory developments, as well as changing expectations and priorities on the part of society. In this context, the agreement acts as a lever to consolidate what is known as Compliance: a robust and real compliance culture within organisations, as a guarantor of ethical, transparent, effective, efficient and responsible management of resources.

“Organisations need to review and reflect on the risks we face, and how to be able to respond to them at an almost dizzying pace. But without a doubt, the biggest challenge is to have a management model that is able to adapt to change quickly and without compromising on excellence,” explained Laura Gonzalvo, Director of Internal Audit and Risk Control at the FIIAPP. Gonzalvo also chairs the WCA’s Not-for-Profit Compliance Committee, in which the FIIAPP plays a very active role.

The FIIAPP is an organisation whose mission is to strengthen public systems in other countries, which is why a key focus of its actions is precisely the improvement of integrity, transparency and anti-corruption policies, key pillars in the area of Compliance.

Taking into account its work of accompanying other institutions, by and for which it works, and assuming the public duty it has in administering public funds, the FIIAPP is committed to continue working continuously to have an internal control system that is a reference model.

In its aim to continue advancing in this work, the FIIAPP has become an honorary member through the agreement signed with the WCA to promote and make visible the work of Compliance in public sector foundations and non-profit organisations.

Through this collaboration, it is hoped to promote meetings and joint activities that contribute to increasing the knowledge of other collaborating entities and civil society as a whole of the work done in this area by the FIIAPP, and non-profit entities in general.
