The Ministry of Justice, the General Council of the Judiciary, the General Prosecutor’s Office and FIIAPP organised this event to promote judicial cooperation

Specialists with a great deal of expertise and experience work in the Public Justice Administration. Their participation in international cooperation projects is essential to improve justice systems around the world through the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
The headquarters of the Ministry of Justice has hosted a seminar to promote the mobilisation of public employees in international cooperation projects. The event was organised by FIIAPP together with the Ministry of Justice, the Attorney General’s Office and the General Council of the Judiciary. More than 180 civil servants from these institutions with an interest in the possibility of giving an international dimension to their professional careers attended.
During the event, attendees were able to get to know first-hand the experiences of three Justice experts working on cooperation projects managed by FIIAPP and funded by the European Union. Judge Juan Carlos da Silva, Resident Advisor in Turkey, the Prosecutor María Luisa García who is the Deputy Project Manager in Albania, the Prosecutor and Resident Advisor in Morocco, Mar Ramos and another returning expert, Lawyer Ana Esther Sánchez from the Justice Administration, all took part. Topics such as family conciliation, the process for participating in cooperation projects, personal experiences and achievements and the importance of international judicial cooperation were all addressed.
This online seminar also included participation by Javier Samper, Head of the Support Unit with the General Directorate of International Legal Cooperation and Human Rights in the Ministry of Justice, Pedro Félix Álvarez de Benito, Head of the International Relations Service with the General Council of the Judiciary, Borja Jiménez Muñoz, Deputy Prosecutor with the International Cooperation Chamber in the International Cooperation Unit at the State Attorney General’s Office and Mariano Guillén-Oquendo, Director of FIIAPP’s Justice and Rule of Law Department.
