The First Vice President of the Government and President of the Board said that FIIAPP is an instrument at the service of cooperation
The governing body of the Foundation met today, 28 December, to approve the Action Plan and the 2021 budget, as well as the FIIAPP accounts pending approval.
During the meeting, the First Vice President of the Government and President of the Board, Carmen Calvo, said that the Foundation is an instrument at the service of development cooperation and foreign action by the state, underlining its ability to adapt to the strategies of the European Union and its role in promoting the 2030 Agenda, guiding the knowledge residing in the public administrations towards development results.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Arancha González Laya, thanked the FIIAPP team for their work and praised their prominent role in the public Spanish Cooperation system and foreign action undertaken by the European Union.
As well as approving the accounts and budgets, FIIAPP Director, Anna Terrón, briefly presented the status of the Foundation, particularly the progress made in internal management, adaptation to the European Union’s new financial framework 2021-2027 and its positioning in important cooperation actions between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in the European Expansion and Neighbourhood Policies and renewed relations with Africa.
The Board of Trustees has asked FIIAPP to draw up a new Strategic Plan for 2021-2024, which will be discussed at the next meeting.
