Despite the situation caused by COVID-19, the FIIAPP continues working to ensure that cooperation does not stop
The situation in Spain as a result of the COVID-19 virus has altered the routine of millions of people and is affecting all professional sectors. The area of cooperation is no exception. Nevertheless, FIIAPP-managed projects are putting into practice new ways of remote working through new technologies.
Many FIIAPP projects already have a virtual aspect among their activities. Given the special situation in which we find ourselves, they will not only be continuing, but have been reinforced with other virtual media and web-based activities. Projects such as EUROCLIMA+, Twinning, such as the waste management project in Israel, Bridging the Gap and EUROSOCIAL+ already have web-based activities scheduled that will take place in the coming weeks.
Despite the complex situation that Spain is going through, in the words of Anna Terrón, director of the Foundation: “it is essential to demonstrate how necessary cooperation and multilateralism are, especially at times such as these.”
