The European funded Twinning project on higher education in Morocco has been successfully completed
For 2 years, the Autonomous Community of Castilla y Leon has accompanied the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education in its desire to approach the European Higher Education Area in the so-called “Bologna process“. And they have done so through a twinning project that has been brought to a successful conclusion.
The activities carried out during this project and the results achieved, mainly recommendation reports in the different work areas, were presented at the closing ceremony.
These areas of work comprised an approximation of the Moroccan legislative and regulatory framework with EU standards; a diversification of the training offer as well as the teaching methods, taking into account e-Learning. In addition, work was done to implement ECTS in the three cycles of studies and in the consolidation of computer management tools.
The ceremony was complemented by a Hispanic-Moroccan round table around the theme of good practices in the reform of Higher Education, enlivened by a public debate.
The project received the participation of a significant number of specialists from the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León and other institutions, who contributed their knowledge and experience in joint work with the Moroccan authorities on training sessions and the preparation of reports and writing of recommendations in different fields.
