Spanish and Mexican experts exchanged good practices around the electronic system of the Spanish National Social Security Institute
A Mexican delegation of the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE) recently visited the Spanish National Social Security Institute (INSS) to learn about the Spanish Social Security system and, in particular, its system of electronic administration and management.
The visit, organised by the SOCIEUX + programme jointly financed by the EU, allowed six Mexican specialists to meet and exchange experiences on electronic administration, file management, enforcement of judgments, work flows and the implementation of quality and improvement systems.
Mexico’s ISSSTE is responsible for providing social benefits for workers in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the three levels of government (federal, state and municipal).
This study visit to INSS units in Madrid and Toledo completes the joint work carried out between the two institutions, which began in 2017 with a mission of INSS experts to Mexico, within the SOCIEUX+ programme.
SOCIEUX+ European Union initiative for social protection, work and employment is an instrument of technical cooperation established and co-financed by the European Union. Based on the peer exchange model, SOCIEUX+ shares European knowledge and experiences through short-term missions, usually carried out by experts from different public administrations.
SOCIEUX+ offers assistance to more than 140 countries in the areas of social protection and employment policies. It is an on-demand programme that addresses the needs of each country by organising personalised activities.
The initiative is implemented by an association led by Expertise France (EF), with the participation of FIIAPP, Belgian International Cooperation for Social Protection (BELINCOSOC) and Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC).
