The Community and Health Development Agents, trained by the new supervisors, will work in more than 17 municipalities of the country within the project of support for local development.

The training of 62 supervisors will allow the selection of new Community and Health Development Agents (ADECOS), which are the link incommunication between the community and the Local Administration of Angola in terms of basic services.
A programme that is developed within the project of support aimed at local development in the country, funded by the European Union and managed by the FIIAPP and the Angolan Social Support Fund (FAS), and which is aimed at promoting social inclusion and the promotion of citizenship, working with families and community leaders.
This training cycle has been developed within the framework of the National Policy on Community and Health Development Agents (PNADECOS), whose implementation and expansion in the country is being helped from the support project aimed at local development, through training actions like this one. In particular, supervisors from the health, agriculture or municipal administration units that will work in the selected municipalities have been trained for a month. The Inspector General of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and State Reform addressed the newly trained operatives: “you have our support, being sure that you are fully committing yourselves to asserting your role”, he said.
The first phase of the ADECOS programme covered 18 municipalities in 6 Angolan provinces, 36 supervisors training 530 agents.
