The Minister of Education of the Government of Castile and León and the Minister of Education of Morocco have analysed, among other issues, the achievements and results of the project.
The project of bringing the higher education system in Morocco into the European Higher Education Area has hosted a high-level meeting between the Minister of Education of the Government of Castile and León, Fernando Rey and the Moroccan Minister of Education Saiz Amzazi. This twinning project, funded by the European Commission, is managed by the FIIAPP.
Likewise, the Spanish delegation, headed by the counsellor and which had other members such as the General Director of Universities and Research of the Government of Castile and León, Pilar Garcés, also wanted to underline the importance of the project and the future connection of university students. In addition, the visit has served to exchange experiences and good practices between experts from both countries.
This twinning project, which since 2017 has been supported by the Moroccan Ministry of Education with its reform of the Moroccan higher education system, is aimed at bringing it closer to the European Higher Education Area.
Experts from the Government of Castile and León are working together with their Moroccan counterparts with the aim of introducing techniques, methods and tools that serve to implement an ECTS credit system in Morocco to assess degrees, as well as a new national strategy in the field.
