The European Commission-funded project continues to work on reducing territorial and social inequalities
The Social Support Fund (SSF) has evaluated the activities carried out in the local development cooperation project in Angola last 2017. In addition to the planning up to December 2018, when the project financed by the European Commission and managed by FIIAPP ends.
The new actions allow work to continue on the institutional strengthening of municipal administrations, as well as on financing the rehabilitation and construction of a social and economic infrastructure to continue supporting the country’s Local Development Programme (LDP).
The project’s ultimate goal is to reduce territorial and social inequalities in access to basic services, as well as to promote a diversified local economy. This is to be achieved through tools such as decentralization and by creating opportunities to generate income.
The meeting was chaired by the Angolan Secretary for Territorial Administration and it was attended by the Head of the EU Delegation in the country, representatives from FIIAPP and members of the SSF and other organisations.
