CECOD, IDB, MIF, and FIIAPP organise a course for development cooperation professionals aimed at improving evaluation of programmes in the sector.
The Centre for Development Cooperation Studies (CECOD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF), and the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) are opening a call for applications for the second edition of the course entitled ‘Evaluation of the Impact of public policies and development programmes’.
The one-week course is oriented towards training development cooperation professionals to be able to conduct impact evaluations of public policies and development programmes.
The course will cover key theoretical and practical elements in impact evaluations, which provide valuable and reliable evidence about reality. This work makes it possible to learn the outcomes generated for the beneficiaries and the effectiveness of the policies or programmes implemented.
The course will be taught by international experts, joined by other cooperation professionals, with whom the attendees will work during an intensive and stimulating week of study and practice.
Impact evaluations provide valuable and reliable information about reality, making it possible to learn the outcomes generated for the beneficiaries, as well as the effectiveness of the policies or programmes implemented. Measurement instruments and data quality are essential elements in impact evaluation.
