The International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) closed the project that has made it possible to implement an Air Safety Plan in Algeria with financing from the European Commission.
The European Union dedicated nearly 1.5 million euros to this twinning project in Algeria which was managed by the FIIAPP in the final months with the help of the State Air Safety Agency of Spain’s Ministry of Public Works.
Experts from the Spanish ministry trained their Algerian counterparts with the goal of creating an Air Safety Plan in line with international standards. Study visits to our country were also organised to learn about Spanish experience in this field.
Aviation is an international activity, and so the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) asks all countries to meet a series of general safety standards.
The ultimate beneficiaries of the project will be Algerian citizens and, in general, the citizens of all countries who fly over Algeria airspace.
